About Me

 I live in Oregon.  Just over 5 years ago my husband had a massive stroke during surgery to remove a tumor from his brain stem. 

After about three years caring for him after his stroke he passed away from a pulmonary embolism.  There was a lot of trauma during those years.  We were in and out of the ICU with lots of complications.  He was paralyzed on his left side.  Some days he didn't know who I was and would go weeks at a time without being able to talk. He fought hard to heal.  

On his good days we would go to the river, or up towards Mt Hood to Wildwood where I could take him on the paved trail with his wheelchair.  He always loved the outdoors.  Fishing was his passion.
